From a cancer survivor who’s celebrated mid-flight with a special announcement, to finding a mother the last seat on the last flight out to make it home for her son’s graduation, and even a little girl being reunited with her beloved camera, these moments highlight the humanity at the heart of United's mission. To elevate the testimonial nature of these stories, we translated each narrative through visually captivating stop-motion animation. From the music playing as you take your seat, to the snacks and drinks served, and the authentic Hawai'i hostpiality – everything Hawaiian Airlines does encapsulates the essence of the islands. Through a curated arrangement with purpose, poetry and emotion, “Hawaiʻi Starts Here” aimed to create the link between the inflight experience and the unique experiences guests have when they get to Hawai'i. Actually taking one? That's another story. Hawaiian Airlines wanted to show how easy it is to leave the stress and mundane routines of everyday life behind, and escape to paradise. With over 90 years of service and exclusively whisking passengers away to one destination: Hawaii, Hawaiian Airlines role of being the Keepers of Vacation extended throughout our 2022 campaign. The resulting design system featured a modular organization of their iconic color palette, breezy type arrangements, and the graphic hibiscus for a feel that instantly transported you to the islands. Through the Momternship program, Mullenlowe had set out to give mothers from any career background the opportunity to intern and gain experience in marketing. But with over 800 applications received, they couldn’t hire them all. This limitation sparked a creative and compassionate solution: the Trojan Bouquet campaign. On Mother's Day, we delivered bouquets to influential hiring managers across our favorite agencies. These were not ordinary floral arrangements, but powerful statements of professional aspiration—each bouquet artfully wrapped in the resumes of talented mothers seeking to reclaim their career trajectories. The MullenLowe LA office wanted to capture that passion, those hidden talents, and off-beat interests, so we launched HustleFund—an iniative to support people’s side hustles and promote more creativity within the agency culture. We named, branded, and developed the program that gives anyone in any department funding to make their creative outlet into a reality. The program’s visual language celebrates personality and play while weaving in that bit of chaos inevitable in the creative process. To symbolize the dynamic nature of coming together, the Amor Ferever identity was defined by an aesthetic of contrasting pairings across language, color, texture, and imagery, while never abandoning a feeling of visual harmony and grace. The premier scent, Moena 12|69 is not only inspired by the Tambopata Provence of Peru, but also makes a material connection to place with its use of Moena Alcanfor oil, which is hand-sourced in the Amazon basin. Its entrancing, rainforest-inspired olfactory identity balances lush, watery notes of the canopy with a woodsy, tobacco earthiness. The design of Moena 12|69—bottle, box, and accompanying collateral—had to be fittingly special.
